EDM
Technician -
(2nd
Shift)
The EDM Technician programs and sets up all EDM room equipment
such as Wire EDM Machines and Vertical EDM Machines in a production
environment.
Duties Include:
• Programs all EDM machines utilizing Esprit CAD-CAM
Software.
• Capable of setting up all EDM Equipment such as Agie Excellence, Agie
100D, Agie 315, Mitsubishi VEDM DM250, Current EDM drill.
• Able to manufacture electrodes using proper spark gaps and
technologies. Manufactures quality parts while meeting production demand.
• Self-Inspection for quality of all parts manufactured.
• Capable of performing machine maintenance and diagnosing machine
problems with minimal supervision.
• Continuously practices efficient techniques and creativity.
• ISO 9001 compliant.
• Operates basic tool room equipment such as Bridgeport Milling Machines,
Surface Grinders, Drill Presses, and exc.
• Designs simple fixtures and patches as required.
• Trains coworkers as required.
Qualifications Include:
• 3-5 years experience in the operations of wire, and vertical EDM
equipment in a job shop environment.
• 2-3 years experience as a EDM Programmer or equivalent.
• Ability to understand Insert Molding and Progressive Die Tooling in a
job shop environment.
• Understanding of machine G-Codes.
• Ability to manage and overcome workflow constraints.
• Ability in the area of basic computer skills (WIN NT & XP, MS Office
Suite).
• Strong communication skills both written and oral.
