Job Description: Set-Up Technician/Operator—Progressive Dies

Responsibilities include daily set-ups, maintenance and troubleshooting of complex progressive and compound metal stamping dies and operation of mechanical presses ranging from 30 to 400 tons.

Job Requirements: Person should have excellent mechanical troubleshooting skills and ability to follow complex set-up procedures. Candidate should have a working knowledge of metal stamping, material decoilers and stock straighteners, and experience operating mechanical presses and other machine shop equipment. Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, electronics and sensors are a plus. Knowledge of comparators, dial indicators, vision equipment, micrometers, calipers and basic hand tools is also preferred. The successful candidate must also have positive attitude, and strong ability to work well with others. Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.

The opening is for 1^st shift: Hours are from 7:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Monday – Friday. Saturday work may be required on a Customer Needed Basis.

Pay rate is depending on experience. The range is from $17.00 – $21.00 per hour. This range is a guideline only.
