TEST SUPERVISOR
Summary:
This position supervises employees in a manufacturing and assembly environment;
plans and assigns work, implements policies and procedures; recommends
improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures and working
conditions.
Responsibilities:
Ensures
effective employee relations, provides employee coaching and development,
demonstrates effective problem resolution.
Balances quality,
productivity, cost, safety and morale to achieve positive results in all areas.
Manages and tracks
performance measures and provides regular progress reports to the Manufacturing
Manager.
Performs accident
investigations
Maintains
proper inventory levels
Manages department
priorities
Tracks absenteeism and
time-keeping
Supervises team-leaders
and production employees
Applies
continuous improvement practices
Qualifications:
Must have a High School diploma plus 5 years experience in a manufacturing
environment and at least one year of related experience working on large AC /
DC machines and internal combustion engines. This position requires
experience with motor generator sets, test equipment, instrumentation, trouble
shooting, computers and computer ancillary devices. The successful candidate
must be able to understand schematics and wiring diagrams; must be able to
troubleshoot related mechanical problems and implement a fix when required.
This position is in the factory and could involve sitting, standing,
walking, climbing stairs and lifting up to 50 pounds for long periods of time
throughout the day. This position is for the first shift (7:00 a.m. to 3
p.m.) and will require periodic overtime work.
